Max Hamblin
Southeastern Oklahoma State University
Maxwell Hamblin-Compere (they/them/theirs) is a queer indigenous artist from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Their work exhibits a diverse representation of the human experience, using the figure, color theory, and an expressive paint quality as the vehicle to communicate complex ideas about what it means to feel and connect with others. After graduating from Southeastern with a BFA in Studio Art, they plan to attend an MFA program, where they will continue to explore the relationship between emotion and art.
